Elements from gay culture have always filtered through to the mainstream: music, literature, fashion and drugs. But now it seems the final frontier is about to be crossed, as according to an article in a newspaper gay porn is now being lapped up by hoards of horny heterosexual women looking for something new and exotic – and this from a very right-leaning news rag.
Apparently there are several factors about gay porn that appeal to some straight women: the attractiveness of the male models compared to the bellies and older uglies used in man on woman action; the extra male member of course; the blurring of the roles so that women can imagine being either the active or the passive partner; and the objectification of men and watching a guy take over the traditionally female sexual acts and basically taking a big cock!
The article has a few dubious ‘quotes’ from supposed female fans of gay porn (usually just made up by lazy journalists). They claim that gay porn with clear active/passive roles is more appealing, particularly gay sex where a young, pretty guy is dominated by on older, more macho stud. They also like the fact that you can visibly see both men are enjoying the gay sex action, in contrast to hetero porn where the woman is usually faking.
This is all very well, but if gay porn is going to become so trendy I might have to rethink. I don’t want to be mainstream! It’s bad enough that everyone wants to move to my home town, the UK’s gay capital, because it’s soooo cosmopolitan. I like the fact that the porn I watch is for a minority taste – mind you, going by the article the women are more Bel Ami than Raging Stallion.
There is an upside to all of this, however: if all these straight, female gay porn enthusiasts can persuade their husbands and boyfriends to indulge them in a little man-woman-man action for kinky birthday, anniversary or special treats, then the world will be a better place. And for my part I shall up the graphic sex quota of this blog for all those female readers.
